Motivation for the workshop

Exploiting the synergies between applications and wireless networks will offer many new business opportunities in the coming years. The eMobility Technology Platform wants to ensure that Version 5 (now in preparation) of our Strategic Research Agenda reflects the research and development needed to ensure that the European Community can address these growth markets. Therefore, we have organised a workshop with limited participation (60 participants) to investigate some of the key application areas in some depth.

Agenda (download presentations)

A set of outstanding speakers from the Health, Media, Energy, Environment, Socio-economic environment, Sports, Entertainment and Banking sectors offering an insight into the status and plans of their sectors and the opportunities for mobile and wireless communications to enhance these applications.
In addition to the planned presentations on applications, Deutsche Telekom invites participants to a short tour of the Deutsche Telekom Gallery of new applications during the morning. Link to agenda.

Benefit of participation

Participation in this workshop will provide you with a concise and timely overview of key application fields for the mobile sector, contacts with key people from a wide range of application sectors, as well as the possibility to provide input to the content of Version 5 of the eMobility Strategic Research Agenda. The eMobility Strategic Research Agenda will be one of the inputs to the definition of the workplan for Call 1 of the 7th Framework Programme which is expected to be officially launched late this year.
